Laura Peña is the Pro Bono Counsel at the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration. Prior to this position, she served as a visiting attorney with the Texas Civil Rights Project (TCRP), managing the family reunification efforts and fighting against zero tolerance policies along the U.S.-Mexico border. Laura was previously appointed as a foreign policy advisor at the U.S. State Department under the Obama Administration, and served as an immigration trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
