Hello. My name is Kenneth Andrus and there are many reasons I write. I want to be an
author so bad my toes hurt. I write for more reasons to breathe. I write because I don’t catch
feelings – I usually give them away. I write because I believe in love at first sight, although I
don’t approve of it. I’ve been writing stories since I was nine when I first realized that it was the
only time I could lie and get away with it. I write when I’m bored, scared, hungry, elated, angry,
excited, or sleeping.

My favorite author is Patrick Ness and despite loving his book “More Than This,” my
favorite book might be “I’ll Give You the Sun” by Jandy Nelson or “Shuggie Bain” by Douglas
Stuart.

I am currently incarcerated in Texas, but I won’t let that hinder my goals.
